I disagree on the Zombie theory here.

Green comet = plants = Triffids. Worse than Zombies methinks. :p
 
Oh how I've pondered this!
I reckon I have seen enough zombie films to survive for at least a week.
Just need to get myself a gun!
 
There are a couple of documentaries that may interest you guys;
Life after people and another one, can't remember the name but its similar.
Ill find out when I come back from work... Interesting stuff!
