Asus Xonar Essence STX Review

Apparently this website has a review of the sound card and the results are quite impressive. While not providing deeply technical comparisons with other sound cards the reviewer is ecstatic about the sound card.

Has anyone bought one of these yet?

I'm currently running a X-FI Platinum and am extremely tempted... £175 though, ouch!

just wanted a few user opinions if anyones made the change over!

By the sounds of it this is the card to go for if you're a major audiophile and want the best possible sound from music and films etc. If you're a gamer then it doesn't sound like you will see much benefit.

Yeah that's basically what i want it for, my computer is currently running into a marantz pm 17 then to some wharfedale evo 2 30's.

I think the sound card is the weakest link tbh...
