Darwin's "natural selection" is real

Amazing how much of this must go on, just in Lower Shiplake alone we have had 2 cars hit by trains. I just dont see why people risk it :/

The first and last one are shocking! Seriously, did the last one get his shoe taken off by the train!!!!?

Looks like it  those two are sodding close!

There was one near where I live not long ago, quite a humped crossing, with barriers, the womans car got stuck on the top of the crossing, so some other motorist tried to push her car with a train approaching.. She didn't bother to get out the car

I think I'm right in saying that the crossings have an allert system to tell the train that they are blocked? (or has the UK rail network not bothere dt upgrade to this yet)

And no, natural selection is failing here, if it was working then the people above would not be around to pass on their genes
It's quite shocking how these people seem to think it's a "sensible" thing to do.

Yea, was just watching this before, epic that it hooked his shoe off, and love the way the fool keeps running.

Also, the stote video is equally good.

wouldnt you? i think the natural reaction to nearly getting ran over by a train is keep running, quickly

and there is the one level crossing near me, and you're stopped for what feels like 5 minutes before the train goes by, i can see why people do it, utter lunacy though.

Nah, I doubt it, the line gets maybe 12 2 carriage trains a day....

There is a east coast main line at Tallington near Stamford thats like that, usaully get 2 or 3 trains through though, doing 80+

edit: and a link to the Top Gear section JC did a few series back :)

I just don't understand how it can occur to someone that doing that is all right. I mean what do they think, that there isn't really a train coming and that barriers always close early just to inconvenience them. It just baffles the mind.
