Tropic Thunder - Finally a decent comedy

Again, its one of these films where you simply wont get any of the jokes unless you have a certain interest in films.
A lot of the in jokes and nuances you just would find funny unless you have a keen interest in cinema.
By keen i mean, a little more interest than just watching some films every now and again.

I watched on Blu-Ray the other night and its not bad. Also watched PE which was not that funny at all, but Get Smart had me in stitches, the bit on the driving range is just brilliant.

Biggest pile of crap I've seen in a while, in my opinion ofcourse. I thought it was very overrated and unfunny. I thought Tom Cruise was a bit of muppet, RDJ wasn't too bad. Nick Nolte and Jack Black were given very weak parts.

sums it up for me too, total dog sh** .....everyone raves on how funny tom cruise was - show me the laughter!

RDJ was ok but putting jack black into anything you want to be genuinely funny is an epic mistake, the guy just sucks.

i can barely tolerate most hyped junk that comes out of hollywood these days, you've either seen it all before or it's made for the "and he's like, and i'm like" moron brigade.

I thought it was extremely funny. Robert DJ was very good, As was most of the cast, I have problems with Jack Black however, I felt he was the worst thing in this movie.

I think he's a horrible actor, and I think he's not made a single good / half decent movie.

Tom Cruise was brilliant !

It was prity funny with jack blaack and his drug addiction.

Sex Drive is funny, but I didn't think it was as good/funny as Tropic Thunder or Pineapple Express. Both of which are fantastic.

Thought this was enjoyable watch, but didn't live up to expectations. Not really laugh out loud funny. Laughed a bit, but not too much really compared to most comedies. Quite contrived in many places too.

Does have some great parts though, and RDJ and tom cruise are brilliant at their differing roles to normal

Enjoyed it - will have to watch it again though, as I didn't fully pay attention first time around.

Heard mention of a film with Cruise's character - he mentioned it when he was on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross a few weeks ago!

Wow I've just finished watching this and I'm pretty disappointed - quite a few people said it was hiliarious. There were a few really funny parts but apart from that I'd have said it was pretty standard in comparison to some of the other comedys out there
