Out of all the jobs in this world there surely must be one that fit for me?

It seems people are posting negative comments because the OP doesn't appear to be living in the real world, and has a history of starting some really strange threads.
(Heck it wasn't long ago the OP posted a thread about his life-long ambition to be an OEM for heavens sake).

But with that in mind, I'll offer some real advice:
Don't run before you can walk.
If you've got no engineering training or qualifications (not to mention design, software, construction skills etc) how can you expect to design the amazing yachts that are 'in your mind'?

You won't be able to build the most basic rubber dingy, let alone the next, best super yacht.

If you're serious then get yourself to Uni to study marine engineering, and come back to the thread in 5 years when you're qualified.

However if you're just after an 'easy job with lots of money' then you're out of luck. The real world isn't an episode of Jim'll fix it.

GMAX was free if you can find it, that's basically a cut down version of 3dSmax...Then maya as someone suggested, I'm sure theres a trial somewhere.

There is also Blender which is free I think: http://www.blender.org/

Erm...There are quite a few I think.

Gmax if you can find it might be better over Blender anyway, I just prefer the way the program works.

What I don't like about these 3d modeling programs is they are so complex. Do you know of any in which you straight away are able to just use the mouse and click on the drawing board like you were painting and draw the exterior of the boats mold and then starting filling inside the border of the mold and then adding this and that and gradually bring it into full view other than the complex way of how all these other modeling programs work?

I know of none like that personally, as I've only ever done character / level modelling.

Is that not what CAD is like or CAM etc? I have no idea...If you want to just 'draw' then surely a tablet would be more useful.

Ok, I'm doing aero, so a similar sort of thing.
Im guessing any innovations in boat design are down to CFD. So if you find yourself a nice super computer and get a program like CFX , maybe at your local uni, then maybe you could try out some pretty shapes and see how they perform with fluid flow.
:D
Otherwise I find paint to be a really useful tool

why not go around starting funny threads like this and the last one that got closed sounds like a good job to me.

tbh m8 you will struggle to find a 3d program that u can jump in to right away.

I always thought about being an artist or a yacht designer. inventor,

fantastic

so instead of day dreaming about it why not get off your ass and do something about it

Perhaps St Martins college for the first one, Southampton uni for the second and just about any decent red brick with a good engineering dept for the third.

Indeed, none you can just 'know how to work' as soon as you open it.

But that's where the tutorials come into it...Or trial and error, that's how I learned.
