Guys, spec me a restaurant in oxford on saturday night!!

Old Orleans was interesting, should still be there...cocktail bar upstairs, food downstairs, pretty pricey though.
I like the Pink Giraffe (Chinese) in St Clements, too.

Yer, Old Orleans is a pretty cool place.

There is also a nice Japanese place near the Covered Market, but I can't for the life of my remember exactly where or what it's called :o

There is an excellent pizza/pasta place right by the bus station called Ginos, there is also "Fishers" (yes seafood) place just outside of town center on St Clements (by the big roundabout as you drive towards town from A40/London Road)

There is also a good place located at the Oxford Castle site, apparently it has gotten some good reviews (aint been in it though).

And there is also a nice restaurant called Cafe Uno (Italian Place) on George Street (opposite New Orleans basically), then there is Maxwells on the Queen Street, this is an American place (so lots of meat).

Lastly there is "House of Spice" (Indian), on St Aldates where Bill Clinton went (a few times), they even got his pic. inside.

Quod on the High Street don't take bookings on Valentines Day - just turn up earlyish (around 7) and you'll get a table. Excellent restaurant.

Old Orleans? Unless it's miles better than the other members of that chain I strongly recommend not - decidedly mediocre food for the price, pretty poor service and rather average cocktails.

I was at 4500 miles from Delhi (which, btw, is 4214 miles from Delhi if one wishes to be pedantic) the night before last. Very nice indian, but not really the most romantic setting

I've been there once with 3 mates, and I found it pretty good, so yer maybe it is better than the others; but I've never been to any of the other ones

There is a good selection of restaurants in St Clements, the Pink Giraffe among them. The bottom end of the Cowley Road has a few places that look interesting but I haven't tried any of them.

In St Clements Cumins for an Indian and La Cucina for an Italian have both had good reports from friends of mine.
