Ross Kemp in Afghanistan

It is great TV but he must get in the way sometimes.
Why do press/TV have to wear blue? Doesn't that make him more of a target?

Camera guy deserves some credit too :-)

I'm guessing its to show that they are not a threat, not that this would stop them getting shot at most likely.

I reckon it's more to do with the fact that everybody looks very similar when nearly all their body is covered up. Being dressed in blue probably helps indicate to allies that they are not combatants when in a gun fight.

jesus just watched the second one and spat tea over my keyboard coz of the mans guts hanging out, am shocked they have shown that would have thought they would have blurred it out

I'm glad they didn't, wars gruesome, get used to it. :)

exactly

it was kept in to hammer the message home, that the war from afghanistan is far from over, and its not the peace keeping mission its press coverage (or rather the lack of) would have you believe.

am not saying they should have am just shocked they didnt what with the PC brigade been so uptight, and am also glad they didnt it just proofs to the sofa warriors what our lads have to deal with every day

It's actually been worse for them, as the HD camera they are using is pretty sizeable the Taliban thought it was a weapons system and gunned for the cameraman in particular!

that CAMERAMAN has bigger balls than Ross Kemp!

Poor sod... its always the cameraman who dies - look at when John Simpson got bombed in Iraq...

Caught the first episode of the series, haven't had time to watch the second one yet. Even though I have it on series link I find the Sky Anytime episodes better as they cut out the adverts, so I'll probably watch that tonight

Respect to Kemp for going back, it really helps hit home the reality of the situation that so many troops are going through / have been through. I can't imagine a scarier job than that.
