STOP TEMPTING ME!

Btw is this a temporary or permanent price?

We have stopped doing our this week only offers and instead will instantly offer the deal for as long as the stock lasts.

Much better than being stuck with deals for a week. :)

Does this CPU require any special socket type boards or can i drop it in any AM2 board ?. Would love to drop 1 of these in my HTPC :)

You may need a BIOS update to use it in an older AM2 board. Unfortunately some boards will never be updated (I hear it's very unlikely that these - or the phenom range - will work on any board with a 2mbit or less BIOS chip).

Ill av to check my mobo. Is only a crappy pc world 1 though so highly doubt it will be up to the job dont fancy buyin another mobo aswell :( such a shame its a bargin price

Is This Better Than An Amd 6400+ 3.2ghz dual core black edition? the main thing ive seen about my 6400 is its a very hot running processor!

It will be slower at stock ofc but once clocked up to 3.3ghz it will be the same, slighty faster in a few things but not by much & quite a bit cooler.

Clock for clock they (Phenom) are up to 20% faster than the Athlon XP in everything, there isn't a single area where they're slower.

Well it really depends on your budget and what you want to do, but for me the AM3 720 Tri-core offers the best performance and value.

The 7750 'should' hit 3.2-3.5GHz which by today's standards isn't exceptional, whereas the 720 above has been hitting 3.8GHz + on air and has more L3 cache per core than any other chip and hence is very quick. In fact it begs the question why go quad (Intel or AMD) when a tri is *quicker.

*Ignore synthetic benchmarks, look at real-worl clock for clock results.

So bang for buck, is this a better choice for a budget build than Intels offerings such as the E5200?

And is the 7750 suited to PC-8500?

Tempted to bang the 7750 together with 2gig of Corsair Dominator PC-8500 into a budget motherboard for a budget gaming rig?

Its not bad, but i would also go for the tricore, at its price its simply exceptional value.
overclocks further, is cooler, and faster clock for clock!, not to mention the xtra core
