Don't blame Madcatz - you just left it too late to order. I pre-ordered my stick on 18th January and was lucky to secure one, even that early.
The SF4 pads and standard stick are also sold out and they aren't limited editions.

Some PS3 pads and standard sticks are still available though ;)

EX2 is Fine I can consistently pull off moves no issue so it is plenty, Tho I changed the gate to an octa gate as i find this much better for sf games than square buts thats just personal preference really

I have played with one on SF4 and it is fine. Personally, I do not think the TE stick (circa £150) is a good stick for anyone on PS3 or 360 who is not into sticks or has not used them before. Reason being it is not over £100 pounds better than the cheaper alternatives for someone who has not really used one before tbh. For pros, people who have used many sticks, and people who mod sticks I can understand them justifying the extra outlay. It's like someone who has never bought or used steering wheels getting a top of the range one as their first purchase :) "All the gear and no idea" :D

Have you guys missed the SF4 review thread?

Or are you keeping away?!

Just watched the video review and it was rubbish! Almost same info as the Strategy video I posted from IGN earlier. Considering the other videos they have had for the last 2 weeks the video review seems like it was rushed :(
Might read the text review later.

My thoughts exactly. Very poor effort. The price WE pay for them wanting it out first to get the hits.

Indeed. I am assuming there is some sort of Embargo on reviews as there is a lack of them online. Weird considering japan release was Thursday and USA release is next Tuesday.

1UP seem to have a had a lot of exclusive contents and playtime with Capcom so I thought they might get the exclusive review.

Not excessively concerned about lack of reviews as so much public play of this game has been seen that a review would not be able to ruin it for hardcore fans. (Online performance may ruin it for some, but the hardcore probably play offline just as much so don't care).

All you need for SF4 is

some beer
couple joysticks
big ass TV
decent sound system

Oh yeah, and some mates.

online is a nice little bonus but really not for serious challenging.

For me, a fighting games have to be lag free, a small mistake because of lag can lose you the whole match.

That said, there is no way in hell I would let my mates terrorise my flat everyday! so the online will be handy to mess about.

Was that me or was the whole post a bit cliché?

I honestly don't believe they only made 3000...every forum is a buss with people pre-ordering them. They may have initially only made 3000 but they would have made a lot more than that now given the pre-orders/interest.

Based on this letter in this very thread it seems the online review embargo date is 16th February.

As a point of note doesn't anyone else find it a bit strange/underhanded that you can basically censure reviews until (at least in the US/Japan) the game is available for people to buy? If the game was a load of crap - which we know it isn't going to be in this instance - then review embargos like this presumably would result in people buying the game and potentially being very disappointed in it. Just seems strange to me.
