I wouldnt, the film is absolutely terrible (imo).
Bah. I mean the Resident Evil: Degeneration film, not any of the Hollywood ones. Is that the terrible one you mean? *prays*You heard wrong:i heard resident evil 4 was a really bad port with graphics worse than the ps2 version. i hope resdent evil 5 doesnt follow suit

PC version is the strongest graphically after the patch and the mods it looks good for a 3 year old game. Still has the same high review gameplay as the other versions it lacks the realtime cutscenes of the Gamecube but makes up for it with stronger textures, minimal loading times & a healthy mod scene (still!). Well worth checking out.
Why compare AAA titles to a shoddy port that wasn't even made by the same team? Even then it's still a 2005 game. And you're trying to compare it to a 2008 DX10 title that even most PCs can't handle maxed out at a high resolution. You're trying your hardest to make RE4 into a bad game but it's not going to happen.
As for gameplay, you've just mentioned 3 FPS that are not similar to RE4 at all.
Seriously you're going nowhere with this. My very first post said that if it was a shoddy port again I wouldn't touch it with a stick. But if it was ported properly, like Ogs said other Capcom games have been since they started doing it in house. It'll be one of the best PC games of the year.
Would you say Half Life 2 was a bad game, just because the Xbox port wasn't that good and the graphics on the PC are a million times better? Of course not. So why try and make out that RE4 was a bad game just because it was a bad port?
Hires gfx patchGot a site i can get those mods from ? Was going to go through the game again, would love to play it using those.
You quit the game by using ALT + F4 at any time. At least the PC version can be fixed and its very cheap to buy as well now. You can even get much better cutscenes as some diehard fan has ripped the PS2 ones from the retail disc upscaled & then applied some filters to them and made them PC friendly. Its all good stuff and gives the game a whole new lease of life which is just as well because the PC RE5 maybe another 6 months or so!ah but it requires unofficial mods to get it looking that good? i saw loads of angry customers on various review sites complaining that fog was removed textures were low and you couldnt use a mouse - 1 guy said he couldn't even quit the game properly without killing it in task manager - kinda put me off buying it. but i gues the game has been heavily patched and moded since then to make it much better
They all work fine for me on XP & Vista 32 bit already!! I have the original retail cd-roms. Look dated but do work properly.I hope they release them (1, 2 & 3) on GOG.com. Would be great to have all 3 working properly on modern systems.

Looks like your out of luck with the others as that RE mods website has been reorganised!!

PC is not even announced yet officially!! Look for an announcement after the console version have been out a few weeks. Some rumours say Q4 09, May or April. I would go with Q4 09 as like SFIV PC development is ongoing. Capcom have not denied its existence which is a good thing that they still want to support PC gamers after DMC4 got heavily piratedeven though i've already posted in this thread (can't remember), excited that the pc release is the same day as the 360/ps3
i've played the 360 demo on my mate's machine, and it really captures the feel that 4 had, and adds an awesome layer of graphics and fear![]()
despite being a great game & outstanding port! You will be waiting a very long time then as Capcom have stated that STEAM releases from them will be very limited as they have plans for other digital distribution partners.dammit..
i noticed all the online sites have it listed for release on pc on that date, but they can often be wrong i guess, i only buy from steam now tbh
