...but i've already got the cab off the chassis!
Had to cut slots in all the bodywork screws as the philips head screws don't give any support when trying to undo and just round off, i needed to chisel a few of the to free them up, but the front end finally came off.
Back door off to aid in the lifting
5 minutes with a forklift and access becomes sooo much easier
Engine and box are out (and are apparently worth about a fiver
)
x-fer box and props are next,then it's time to hang the pug derv engine and box and start making up some engine mounts.
Chassis is absolutely SPOTLESS!
Discovered that a previous owner didn't want to weld near the fuel spout so they patched up the holes another way ....
Forgot how little mileage i'd put on the clutch before i took it off the road too! (60 quid down the pan!)
Soon i'll be able to fit the wider axles and powersteering i've had gathering dust for a while, yay!
Essjay should be back on the road by xmas
(at the rate i work these days).
