If you could resurrect two people from history...

he was the right man for the right time, he was voted out immediately after the war.

there's no way of knowing if he'd have been able to manage a country well in peace time, i'm dubious personally (don't get me wrong, i have a lot of respect for the man, but i don't overestimate him)

Anything is better than what we currently have. heck Jeremy Clarkson would be a better choice :D.

Hmm I'm torn between two choices.

1. Plato and Adam Smith. It'd be interesting to see what they would make of our attempts at democracy and capitalism.

2. Machiavelli and Rasputin as they'd both be in their element with the way society is these days.

Genghis Khan and Atilla the Hun.
Put them on each side of the world, give em an army and see who reaches the middle first ^_^

mmm, I disagree. in part anyway. Machiavelli, yes. genius guy :)

rasputin, not so much. he just managed to get the tsarina's ear and then influenced her and ruled through her. not comparable to machiavelli in my opinion.

Who would be however, is Chanakya :) - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chanakya

My grandad and his grandad... we could all sit and drink beers whilst they tell me what war stories and what it was like when they were a lad...
