Boob jobs

I have to say that I do agree with Megatron in some of what he is saying.

Size 12 for the average woman in the UK is definitely overweight, IMO. However, I think you have to look at their overall bonesize and build. For example, someone like Jodie Kidd is tall and has broad shoulders. Her healthy/fit size will be larger than that of the average woman in the UK. However, given that most UK women are not 6'2", size 12 really is on the large side.

The problem with my belief and Megatron's is that it isnt politically correct. Its politically correct to criticise beautiful women who are in fantastic shape and complain about how thin they are, but it isn't seen as acceptable when we level the complaint towards the fatter woman.

Jessica Simpson was just right in her Dukes of Hazard days. I think she is a little too fat now.

In saying all of the above: its the woman's body (be it sara, J.Simpson or whoever) and she is entitled to do whatever she wants with it. So, if she wants to get fat or thin, its upto her.

I prefer natural myself but I'm more of a leg and bum man.

In that case, have Kim Kardashian, who I think looks great here:

I'd like to know what fact you have based your opinion on. As previously mentioned - 90% of UK women have a BMI of 18-25 - by deffinition that means they are normal, not overweight.

For the record, the other 10% is split as 3% have a BMI under 18 (meaning they are underweight) and 7% have > 25, meaning they are overweight.

So, only 7% of women who are a size 12 are technically overweight.

Also, 9% of size 10 women have a BMI > 25. That's an interesting statistic.

No, I don't work in a strip club, just a normal office :D

I don't think you have to be insecure to have a boob job either. Do people buy nice clothes or expensive jewellery purely because they are insecure? What's wrong with a girl just wanting bigger boobs than she already has?

I've seen good boob jobs and bad boob jobs. Some can look very natural, I'm not a fan of the old "ice cream scoop" porn style ones though.

Your tellign us that you work in an office where 40 males have had boob jobs?

I'm 23 years old, and i had my first handful of silicon **** last week, and to be honest, i was horrified!! there so hard it like grabbing my ball sack i wasn't impressed,
there's my 2 cents worth far ya

Personally, I dont think the use of BMI is fair.

For men at least, a very lean, muscular man will have a similar BMI to a taller man carrying less muscle but loads more fat. This is not fair.

Personally, I think weight and body fat percentages should be used. If it was, I think you would find that a lot of women in this country are totally out of shape.

what?!
how have you worked that one out?
just becuase 7% of the entire population are overweight it does not technically correlate that only 7% of size 12s are too
i would hazard a guess that closer to 0% of size 6/8s are overweight - so your extra percentages have to be made up of the larger sizes...

Yes sorry, I missed a step out there. For the record, it is the same though (looking at an NHS survey from 2006 here).

I agree but looking at the numbers I have in front of me, 69% of size 6's are underweight and 41% for size 8's. So by the medical professions own definition, more size 6's and 8's are unhealthy than size 12's. Being underwieght puts you at just a great of risk for serious medical complications as dfoes being overweight - although those complications are different for both. You don't see many overweight people with ricketts for example.

You need to disclose your source, to stop it looking like the numbers are picked out of think air. Also you need to put a percentage on how many people have rickets and what catagory they fall under. Also as pointed out earlier dress size isnt the best gauge of how much bodyfat a person has.

The medical profession does not take into account bodybuilders and would class these people as being overweight and less fit than that of the average weight for height (which is likely to be untrue many cases). In the same way a person who is careful about their diet is different to someone who is starving themselves.

I think a person looks a lot better if they are physically active in at least a small way rather than if they are totally inactive given that bodyfat percentages are the same, although this would leave an element of subjectivity open on my part.
