I said last week on the Steam forums I hope it's 50% off L4D, they did Ghost Recon last week, but obviously though my idea was a good one, so they did it this week

Would recommend this to anyone as there will be a new patch coming out soon called "L4D: Survival Pack" which will make the game a lot bigger which will be even more worth the money!

Clip on mics tend to work well (the sort that newsreaders wear).

I bought one for £2 and it works well. Sanken also make a nice one but it's £120 and requires a power supply also, it's a little OTT for gaming IMO!

If any of you have Skype I would suggest you use it over Valve's implementation of voice chat. Frankly its absolute rubbish. I'm serious use Skype instead its absolutely crystal.

A bunch of us had a coop the other day. I'm in Leicester, two other friends in darlington and another guy in Norway. We might as well have been in the same room.

L4D's voice chat is superb, I don't see what the issue is.

Xfire and skype indeed have better quality voice chat though. Ventrillo and TS both are complete trash compared to the ingame voice chat though.

Damn only purchased this last Sunday for £26.99.

Thought to myself at the time will this be on offer soon, but dismissed it due to it's recent release.
