I hate to break it to you, but those temperatures are probably motherboard temperatures or you're using the software incorrectly or you're benching outdoors.

not impossible as mine idles at around 20...but the load temps seem out. U should be able to get more outta the q6600 though, although the new ones dont clock as well as the 2007 ones.

they are not motherboard temps at all i am not a newbie in anyway when it comes to computers. watercooling is something newish to me, mobo temps are 28-30ish
3 fans on rad, 3 fans front, 200mm top.
i can post results from everst if you wish.

i can get more out of my q6600, i have had it running stable at 3.4 but do not see the need as i like the silence and like low temps.
i have been oc'ing for many years and modding for a lot more than that lol :).

well i have it in the living room at the moment and thats at 19oC the living room is always cool. temps drop more when someone opens the door lol.
well i have had it running now in my office room and the room temp is 20ish and my idle is now at 18 and load is at 28oc and thats been running on full load with everest stress test for 4 hours.
i am more than happy to post pics from everest lol.

What are the individual core temperatures? Can you try CoreTemp and see what it lists? Those are mighty impressive temps if they are for the cores.

Forget what some crock piece of software is telling you; use your brain instead. If the room temp is 20, care to explain how the air in the room is able to cool your radiator to below room temperature? Your idle temperature cannot be below ambient.

Harsh but true.
