Basically i have a new LCD TV in my room, and would like to watch TV from my PC on it, stuff like MLB.TV, films i have downloaded (ahem), and BBCi and 4OD etc.

The TV is roughly 10 feet from my PC, and moving either closer to each other defeats the object?

Is there a PC-TV cable out there that is long enough?

Assuming it's a modern LCD TV, and a modern PC at the very least i'd expect them to both have a VGA connection, if your videocard is relatively recent it should also have HDMI as an option (easiest) or DVI to the TV's HDMI connection (which would require an audio lead and suitable HDMI/DVI lead).

I'm using a HDMI adaptor that came with my ATI video card to allow me to run a HDMI cable to my TV, in our lounge we've gone the VGA + audio route (older PC), and my brother uses the DVI to HDMI +audio cable route.

Whats an HDMI cable?

The GPU is the one in my sig, the TV is brand new.

Ok, i have on the back of my TV - There's a 'PC in' 'DVI in' and 'HDMI in'

Looking at it depends on the Version of your card whether It has the HDMI out, but you should be able to get some good length leads from electronic retailers
