Gaming at 1440x900 max.new card help

My sons card as just bit the dust (ati 9800 pro).
Looking for a new card like title says max res will be 1440 x 900
Hoping to spend around £60-£80 will go a little higher if it really needs it.
 
Yep I would get that 9800GT for for that budget. Should play pretty much anything. Even crysis at that resolution shouldn't be too bad. The top card I would buy would be a 4850 but that takes you to just over the £100 mark. What is the spec of the PC ?

Another vote for the 9800GT here. It's all you need
 
im very impressed by the 4850 performance, but coming from a 9800 pro pretty much ANYTHING is a massive leap, a 9800GT is in the region of 20x-30x the power (much more if you look at specific specs, im going by realtime benchmarking) 4850's are half as fast again
