Ive been using wireless now for 4-5yrs, first a logitech optical mouse then the mx1000. Before that I had a few wired mice but most of them had loose connection probs in the cable in the mouse afer a few months. so since changing to wireless mice, they have always been much more reliable

But now my mx 1000 is starting double clicking on a single click, and I was all for getting the mx1100 but my mate has just gone from a mx1000 to a g5, and says He will never go back to wireless again cos he can aim more acurate wilth the g5 then he could with the mx1000

I always thought going back to the old wired mouse would be a tad of a downgrade, but im not sure now... so what would you go for, the g5 or mx1100, cos I'll be ordering tomorrow guys??

When did you buy your MX1000? Logitech proide a 3 year warranty on it. I phoned them up about mine, even when it was out of warranty (2004 I think?) and I was sent a free MX Revolution. Maybe I just got lucky, but it's worth a shot.

If you're going for gaming, the G5 is the way to go though. Wired is better than wireless almost all the time for gaming, and you can get a much better mouse for cheaper if it's wired.

Well this mouse isnt a year old yet but Im not sure when I bought it, but Ill hunt around and see if I can find the paperwork,,, cheers.

yeah last year,, cool may get a free mx1100, hope its not a mx rev, cos I bought 1 and ended up selling it and going back to the mx1000......... Cheers D D Danneh

I rang them up today and there sending me another mx1000, but I need to send them the old receiver back, when I get the replacment. Im amazed that their sending me a mx1000 cos they stopped making them over a yr ago.

That's strange, when my last MX1000 broke they said they didn't have any more available and offered me any mouse from their range (I picked the G5). Maybe they've repaired some that have been returned since... although they never ask you to return them

Got the mx1000 replacement today and it looks brand new cos its in its box and the seal hasnt been removed.

I dont know if I should sell it or put it away untill the double clicking on my current mouse annoys me. I havent got any probs with the mx1000, but theres better out there so ppl say??
