xbox 360 hdd transfer software

is there a way to download the software for transfering files between two 360 hard drives? im getting a elite tomorrow to replace my old console and a friend gave me his transfer cable but he has lost the dvd it came with :rolleyes:

if it cant be done then im not too bothered about my save games, am i right in thinking that i can just log in to my gamertag on the new console and then download all my arcade games and content again? :confused:

also how would i go about formating the old hard drive? im goign to sell it to someone but i dont like the idea of them having my card details on there

As for finding the software I've no idea I'm afraid. However, you can request the transfer cable (+ disk) for free from MS.

The original drive is wiped in the transfer process I believe. However credit card details aren't stored on the drive themselves, you need to login to Xbox Live on the Live account to get at them. If the account has been reclaimed on the new console, you can't sign into Live without the account password.
