Does anyone use this block on your GTX280 and if yes, how did you take the stock cooler off and mount it on? I'm going to do it and don't want to break anything, cause may need to put stock cooler back on some time in the future...

I did a 295 the other day, thats a dual card as you know. It took me about 1hour for just the block installation.

As long as you are careful and methodical you wont break anything. Just follow the instructions, it shows you step by step. Also make sure you have thermal paste and dont forget to apply it :p

Thanks:) problem is I don't have instructions how to take stock cooler off, and I knwo I read osmewhere that people brake those small pplastic pins or sth taht keep front and rear panels together, but cannot find it:(
Well, I'll try it, doing it very slowly and gently:) I bought thermal paste and have some pads that were provided with block... I will post some pictures of that process just for future reference:0

just remove all the scews with springs on, dont remove the 4 scews that hold the core surround on. When you have done it right, the card should rotate left and right from the heat sink(then its free). To get it off, you will need to give some lefting force on the edges as the old thermal paste holds tight for a bit.

This will help you...
