Anyone wish that? Anyone lucky enough to have hours of footage showing their life from when they were just born to when they were in their early teens? :)

If i ever have children, i'd probably video everything. :o

Yes. My mum has literally 30-40 VHS tapes showing everything from birthday parties, school plays and christmas'.

I need to get around to burning them all to DVD.

They might possibly be of some nostalgic value for the parents but why on earth would you want to watch yourself being a tit when you were a kiddy?

How many people have photo's, digital or other that will remain at the bottom of that box in the attic until their heirs throw them away when clearing the house? God we do keep a load of junk!

I have a few videos from some of our boating holidays. Some good ones of me launching bread at ducks and also a video of me on the ITN news and on Kilroy (although they obviously didn't film this themselves)

Yup, we've got LOADS of videos from various holidays and birthday parties etc from when me and my sister were kids (Early 90's)

Still have the video camera too lol, absoloute rubbish compared to the video cameras of today but incredible back when my parents bought it.

I often get up late on a weekend to see a stack of videos on the floor and my parents and sister sat watching video's of us in various parts of the USA or our 3rd/4th/5th/etc birthday parties... Such an embarassment on my behalf, unfortunately not on my sisters though :(

I sometimes think how strange (to us) it would seem in the future when future generations will be able to watch events from history in high quality TV etc. Imagine learning about some war from 300 years ago and being able to just watch the BBC news on location etc.

Sorry, bit off topic there!:p

I thought that too, we have grainy imagery of the World Wars and the collection of media on current events say 9/11 for example for future generations will be amazing to see things in such detail

The BBC will have recorded over/lost the footage by then :)

My parents have absolutely loads of cine film... it's brilliant.. you sit in a dark room.. have a clicking whirry machine projecting onto a floppy white projection screen and then try and guess what was being said.. oh and you gotta be careful it doesn't get stuck and the projection bulb burn through the film..

It's a bit bizarre watching yourself when you're that young with no sound.. even more bizarre when you look at how young your parents look.

I guess at some point they'll be put onto DVD.. might have to have a word and see how easy it is..

For some reason I have around 5-6 pictures of me as a child, seems my Dad took a load when he left and I havent spoke to him for 10+ years.

I take crazy amounts of pictures of my two as well as lots of video on my computer.
