on monday morning i was looking through the B-grade section for graphics cards and i saw a Gigabyte Ati 4870x2 going for £229.99,
stock code BG-129-GI which i thought what a bargin must have,so i phoned up overclockers to place my order and the card was still in stock so i gave my card details over and when it came to the expiry date i noticed i had my old card so i asked if i could phone up later with my new card details because i was at work and the bloke on the phone said yes and that he has saved it on the system for me and here is my order number 3315698

1 hr later i notice online that its been taken off from the B-grade which i thought good its been saved for me so when i phone overclockers up with my new details they tell me its gone.

so the question is did someone who works for overclockers think thats a great bargin and take it of for themselfs or friend or has it been sold by mistake i must admit im not very happy this is the second time ive bought something and its been sold.

It's happened to me before now, I've ordered something from the B-grade section only for it to be out of stock... I wouldn't worry about it, it's probably been tested and found to be non-working or something.

You'll probably find that while the guy you were dealing with was sorting your request out, another one was selling the card to someone else at the same time unfortunately. Its happened to me a few times and while its annoying you just have to live with it.

didn't they give you an explaination to where it went ?

If its non working or has faults other than cosmetic or missing parts then they can not sell it, even as B-Grade.

I think he meant, OCUK might have tested it, found it to be faulty, so they removed it from the site and binned it, for the exact reasons you stated.

Either way, someone else got there first by the looks of it.
