Going to a party on Saturday. It's not fancy dress as such but there is a 50's theme. So it's more like clothing from the 50's rather than going as Buddy Holly or Elvis.

I've managed to get a 50's style leather biker jacket so I could do the T-Brids look from Grease but I'd prefer to actually have some authentic style clothes rather than go as someone.

Any ideas :)

It's not so much as where to buy it, more to do with what I should be wearing.

Was thinking of the following:

Hill Billy Checked shirt
Jeans with turnups
Canvas trainers

50s style is pretty much in right now with the emo crowd: Slim fitting jeans, Converse trainers, tight plain white or black T-shirt.

Perhaps add some braces for extra effect, and brylcreem your hair back - hey presto. 50s American teenager. Winner!

I thought the 50's had made a comeback recently :)

I've just bought a pair of converse style canvas trainers for £10 in the sale. Skinny jeans are a bit of a no-no for me as I'm 6'4" and don't have manly legs lol. T-shirt isnt a problem, however I was looking for a shirt, any ideas.

I've got short spiky hair so got to think about what to do with that.

Bog standard Levi 501s then. Not skinny fit, but straight/non-baggy style. Perfick.

As for a shirt, stick with Levis and get a checkered slim-fit shirt with a small collar.
