Things to do with the GF in Yorkshire for free/not much money

I have been down to yorkshire a good few times and I enjoyed walking around whitby ( fishing is fun there...... )....going to Scarborough with a tenner each and playing the 2p machines is fun aswell.

There is a good museum called Eden Camp just between Malton and Pickering all about wartime Britain and you can spend the whole day there for £5 each admission.

Things to do in Yorkshire for free?

Leave.

Oi! Not nescessary. It is a brilliant place.

I can recommend the "Forbidden Corner"( http://www.theforbiddencorner.co.uk/) not far from York and the a tour of the Black SHeep Brewery is a fun too.( http://www.blacksheepbrewery.co.uk/VisitorCentre/Default.aspx)

Also the Wensleyday Cheese factory do visits too.(http://www.wensleydale.co.uk/visitor_centre.html)

And if you do go Masham way, then you must buy some of the best ice cream in the country at Brymor Ice Cream (http://www.abmoore.co.uk/). They have won so many awards and normally have a choice of up to 30 flavours available. Nom Nom Nom!

Rowntrees used to do visits as well and amzing to see how they make smarties and polos.

All the scenery to the north of York is amazing. Head out Leyburn way or Pickering and even take a steam train to see some of the best scenery in the country.

The white horse at Kilburn is worth seeing too and a walk around. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kilburn_White_Horse) The Vale of York is flat and at the top of the White Horse the views are amazing and on a nice day you can see for 100 miles. There is also the "mouseman" Thompson factory in Kilburn to visit as well.(http://www.robertthompsons.co.uk/)

All depends as to what floats your boat really.
