Just put a deposit down on a New car!

I've decided to change my colour choice. Fortunately there is enough of a lead time on these for me to be able to change without penalty at this stage.

I'm now getting an Ocean Blue one (Virtually OcUK blue).

People must buy new cars to keep the 2nd hand market in business.
I think you're mad, but I hope you enjoy it. Someone will get a bargain in a few years off the back of this purchase, you certainly aren't!

hope your good at detailing, because that car in that colour is going to show swirl marks and scratches BIG TIME very quickly.

why not go for a silver or grey colour? lol

It's a really nice car the new Fiesta. The engines in this range do seem to be better than the MK6, offering better MPG, better tax and a bit more poke iirc. I'm not saying what BugOne has done is wrong, but personally I never would buy a brand new car, the depreciation would ruin me even if I wan't fussed about risiduals, just knowing that its losing more per week than I earn would annoy the hell out of me!

But congrats though on the purchase, the new Fiesta is definately one of my favs at the mo, going to try and have a testdrive of a MK6 or MK7 this weekend.

The amount of criticism in this thread is ridiculous.

Sometimes people want a new model of something that's just be released, so the only way they're going to buy it is to buy it new. Absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Cracking car by all accounts and looks fabulous. Only weakness that I see with this car is that 5th is geared too low for the motorway, and the rear seats don't fold flat. If I was being really picky, the a bit more sound insulation would be good but I guess that impacts on weight.

Enjoy the car OP!

saw somebody in the petrol station the other day with one of these as a courtesy car.

It had the "capless refuelling" but the poor lass wasnt having much luck, pump kept cutting out on her, and it took her about 5 mins to get 40p in.

Is this capless fuel filler take a bit of a knack or is just being a woman ?

I don't think this "criticism" should be taken too personally...it's only a matter of personal preference being conveyed, which is 90% of any internet forum's content.
