Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

I am only playing with the pad so far and have had zero issues. Its still fun, although not as easy as with a stick obv.

To the above guy who mentioned onlocking gouken adn struggluing, just set game mode to easiest and use Akuma,: spam the jumping HK, the Sweep HK for the perfects. And for the ultras the CPU players dont even attempt to avoid his very easy to hit ultra.

My only dissapointedment fo the game so far is that almost every character (to my knowledge and atleast in the command list) only have one super attack and one ultra attack. Which is kinda sucky i liked it back in the SF Alpha3 days when you had 3 or 4 specials minimum...
 
Awaiting my copy being sent today hopefully , i just know this 360 pad is going to let it down big time . Might invest in a madcatz pad but not until i have butchered the original pad to see if that works :eek:
 
How are people finding the challenge trials? As soon as I get to Normal Trial 4 with those combos I just have to give up - just impossible to get the timing spot on and its getting frustrating (especially if you have to EX cancel halfway through).

Also Ive just started Survival Normal and found it easy so thought Id give Hard a try. OMFG how hard is that - I can only get past 1/2ppl before I die. Jesus playing on easiest difficultly to get the unlocks doesnt prepare you with how cheap and quick the CPU is...

Also hows net play for everyone? I played with someone who was hosting and kept getting disconned whereas if I hosted it was fine. When I searched I couldnt find any full bar stable connections unfortunately :(.

Would love a Team Battle mode like Tekken...

P.S. Whats your favourite Ultra? Not played many characters but I love Kens - though I doubt youd get a chance to use it in a proper 1v1...

For anyone with the collecters edition whats the movie like? is it the same as the anime scenes from the character intros?.

I have a collecters edition on the way and if the movie is rubbish I will just leave it sealed and just play the standard one
 
Oh no!

The big river company have shipped the game without the stick, the stick has a delivery status of shipping soon!

I don't have a good feeling about this :(
 
The HORI Real Arcade Pro.EX with sanwa button and gate mods is meant to be excellent. Although it's also £100+. Probably more like £150 by the time you've paid for shipping and the mods.
Im very tempted by it.

See I fancy playing SF4, but not at that kind of price. Is it really that bad with the pad ?
