Water Marking Photos

Interesting idea, except it's completely foiled by the "Print Screen" button, and the fact that I can just take the two images and flatten it in PS.

Now, I’m not actually going to describe the entire process, but instead leave it up to everyone to reverse engineer and figure it out! There should be enough there for anyone with basic HTML and CSS knowledge. The example is available here. Enjoy!
Huh?

Looks interesting, but as is said on the forums a lot, adding a watermark doesn't actually add anything to your pre-existing copyright, looks annoying and can generally pretty easily be removed. The size and quality of most images people use make them pretty useless for most things anyway.

Foiled by the fact that no one needs to add copyright nonsense to any photo. Adding a copyright logo just ruins the photo for our viewing pleasure but does nothing to stop anyone stealing the image. Besides which, how many people are actually selling their photos online and making a living out of it? How many post photos large enough to be useful commercially?

And which companies would steal mediocre low res images from random forums when they can go to Microstock websites and pay a single dollar for top quality high res professional images?

Not a bad idea tbh, obviously it's not going to stop someone stealing your photo, but if someone casually hotlinks then at least visitors to the other site will know your website. I've started to add a small link to my site on my photos, not to protect from people selling it, just for a bit more exposure if anyone does want to re post it.
