Im trying to get a roof areial fitting and ive been ringing about and it seems cheaper to get an analogue one fitted but im just wondering if it would still work with a freeview box and get the digital channels.

It will still work. A 'digital' one generally have more elements, but if your signal is good then you don't need it.

I've got a high gain aerial because I split the signal to five different rooms.

Find out how much they are quoting you for the aerial without fitting as it's probably cheaper to buy it yourself.

If it's a good high gain aerial it should be perfectly fine tbh.

When I got my aerials put up I think it was only something like £70 altogether, that was for the supply and fitting of 2 aerials too.

You could even have a look at B&Q and the like to see what prices the aerial kits are, you're probably looking around £30 to £40 for a decent quality one, maybe even put it up yourself, dunno if that's an option.

No such thing as a 'digital' aerial lol

Get a wideband one. Even the cheapest reasonable quality ones are only about £40. If you need a high gain one they are a bit more. Cable is about 15p per metre.

Putting them up yourself is fairly easy. Just point it in the same direction as all the other houses nearby. fiddle with channel scans to get it just right.

If you need to put up poles and brackets and things it gets a bit more complicated.

Even splitting the cable to different points in the house is easy but you'll need a 12v amp for that. all very easy to do
