How can you love something youre afraid you'd get bored of? Odd phrase that. Those do look lovely, however. I'm pretty certain they'd be out of my price range, especially for the little use they would get. I rarely use the 40D as it is

They are rather expensive - I didn't realise they were that new as I was looking at it on an online retailer last night.

I am intrigued how the 17MM works - it looks like the top bit pivots like an eyeball rather than the body sliding. I may be wrong though.

I would get one of these if they had autofocus so that I could use it as a normal prime too.
