im not really a gamer, need a pc for music production and im stuck on board choice. will prob be going down the dual core route to start wiv and id like to OC.

any advice would be great

I would get The Abit. I have it paired with my E6600 @ 3.4 with no problems.

Bit of a newby myself at overclocking lol.
All i did was up the volts to 1.4v and tried it, didn't bother with bios update as it works ok.

Think i spoke to soon, lol.
Just tried orthos again and it failed, it could be down to memory though. Got 2gb Ballistx given, so i thaught what the hell stick in my PC and have 6 gig instead of 4.

Strange that it's ok in windows, no blue screens or anything.

Oh well, will worry about it if it starts crashing on me.

Personally i would'nt touch an Abit with a bargepole. They have stopped making motherboards now due to a restructuring of their business. Your first years warranty will be with the retailer but after that period you may or may not find it difficult to get a product repaired or replaced.
