Jade Goody has Cancer

is it wrong to make fun of someone's appearance now that they have cancer?
would it have been fine if they were clear? i suspect so..

how does that work then?

It wasn't the same thing you numpty, it was jokes specifically related to her current situation. :p

My Mum has been saying **** like "See, look at that Jade it puts things into perspective don't it?" everytime I walk past the living room when the TV is on, so earlier I said to her about Jade Goody's 2009 calendar being rubbish because it only goes up to March and I got called evil.

^^^^^

This was one I read, though it was worded a bit better. :p

Another one was:

"Kerry Katona bankrupt... Jade Goody with cancer... wait a while Genie while I ponder my third wish..."

Pure evil. :(

i find it hypocritical that it's acceptable to make fun of someone if they're (relatively) healthy, but one mustn't make fun of the same thing if they're dying

I'd disagree, it is simply showing a bit of consideration but if you want to call that hypocritical then by all means do so. Making fun of someones appearance isn't the nicest of things you can do anyway (obviously, although I'd be pretty sure all of us have done it at some point) but when you do it about something that is directly caused by a terminal illness/something genetic that they have no control over then you're really beginning to stretch the boundaries of what is acceptable or fair.

guys she is trying to make money so she can leave it to her kids. do you think they are getting married 100% for the love, no they have thought of the money.

I have never liked her! but I felt so sad for her when I read the story.

Little of tpoic but does any one hate like me that kerry katona ? I just dont understand how iceland hire her! its stops me buying there food!

I understand Jade wanting to marry, to protect her children and so she can marry her boyfriend, to which I assume she loves. But he did propose to her, doesn't that raise questions about him wanting to make sure he's in the will??
Admittedly this is a cynical view but all the same.

Although it is an awful situation for anyone to have to go through and she has my respect for seemingly taking it all in her stride.

Last august i saw Jack Tweed at a festival fingering some 18 (maybe, to be honest, she could have been younger) year old brunette in a crowd. In plain view. He was draped in adolescent girls, who were off their faces as much as he. He then pee'd into a cup and threw it towards a group of young children. But that's not the point. I saw him a few times that day, and each time it was a different teenage girl. None of them were Jade Goody.

He's so noble.

Why the **** is our Prime Minister talking about this woman ? :/

Why not, do you have a problem with what he said:

Mr Brown said: "It's very sad and tragic that such a young woman has this cancer. It's very sad indeed that the treatment has not been successful."

He added: "Her determination to help her family is something that we have got to applaud and I wish her family well."

I have no problem with what he's said, it's the fact that he's talking about someone who is essentially just another person who has cancer. No one else gets this special treatment :s

Yes but Jade is in the public eye not everyone with cancer is.

ya my bad, i haven't been following her story as i don't give a ****, so i didn't realise she was bald as complete hair loss doesn't affect everyone.

statement retracted ;)

now that i think about it, that joke was rather funny :D
