Where to get tested for dyslexia?

That's not necessarily a sign of dyslexia, a lot of people probably might not pick up the difference, take this for example (i know you've all seen it before);

Abbreviations as part of the same function can be overlooked or mis-read.

Well, I get on with things... it's just that in my line of work as a web developer, I struggle more than I should to work out solutions and spot problems.

Most recently discovered - almost 2 ago years I spelled the word quarantine correctly, whereas every other iteration of that variable was spelt "quarantinue" but I just couldn't see it until the boss discovered it and pointed out I may have cost the company possibly in the region of 10's of thousands, or possibly 100's of thousands of £.

This is just the most extreme example, but I would like to eliminate dyslexia as a possible cause of my troubles with poor comprehension, code checking and slow reading.
 
If you find out you have it, does it make any changes? Any benefits in knowing?

Have your parents ever been tested?

Knowing:
It would hopefully make me feel less stupid.
When it came having people explain, I could perhaps ask them to use diagrams without, again, feeling stupid

Without a doubt, my biggest issue is comprehension when people speak. I struggle horribly with it. But I don't even know if that would be a symptom of dyslexia. It's just something I would like to find out.

As I said, I certainly wasn't accusing you of being stupid or lazy, just telling you what my friend is like.

Get tested and let us know how it goes.
