We have found Atlantis!

From Wiki:

From Google Ocean

It was reported in the UK press on 20 February 2009 that a grid-like image could be seen 620 miles of the coast of Africa, near the Canary islands, at a depth of 3.5 miles (5,633 m) on Google Ocean at [show location on an interactive map] 31°15′15″N 24°15′30″W / 31.25417°N 24.25833°W / 31.25417; -24.25833. There was speculation that this could be the location of Atlantis;[35] however, a Google spokeswoman said:

"what users are seeing is an artefact of the data collection process.… Bathymetric (or sea floor terrain) data is often collected from boats using sonar to take measurements of the sea floor. The lines reflect the path of the boat as it gathers the data(...)The lines reflect the path of the boat as it gathers the data. The fact that there are blank spots between each of these lines is a sign of how little we really know about the world's oceans."[36]

An ancient city the size of wales? Don't think so. Even Rome was not a significant fraction of that size.

3.5 miles under the sea? - No geological upheaval could cause that in only a few thousand years.

It is clearly a space alien spy base tucked safely away from our prying eyes.
