The worst starting 11 in the world, what's yours?

Kaba Diarraw's (sp) spell at Arsenal was terrible. John Jenson's 3 goals in 3 years was pretty shocking.

Um, Massimo Taibo was another bad player, plus the idiot at Liverpool who somehow won a European cup medal, Traore?

I can't believe no-one's mentioned the legend that is ERIC DJEMBA-DJEMBA, so good they had to name him twice.

I don't think I've seen a worse player than him in my life.

Oh yeah, he's one of the players Sandy10 liked to **** off disregarding the fact that his club bought the eejit from us afterwards. :D

He was a bad bad player.

Oh really? I remember him constantly mentioned in a negative way by red fans. Or is it like Kuyt who keeps getting slated but isn't wholly that bad?

No he was **** in general but his performances in the CL run (Vs Juve and Chelsea and in extra time in the Final) were actually pretty decent. It was the same story with Biscan.

No need for any Sissoko loving, he doesn't play for us anymore :p

He's still a decent player though and like Pigeon said, he's doing great at Juve.

But is he now the most destructive player in Italy? :p

There are some nice vids on youtube of him looking that way. He even scored an overhead kick (possibly on his debut too)

Too many people judge him on his last 4-5 months with us when he was out of the side, out of form and half blind. His first season and prior to his eye injury (and the 2 Barca games when he first returned) he was immence and in what was possibly Gerrard's best ever season for us (05-06 season), Momo was arguably just as good as him.

Worst 11 in the time I've been watching Everton

Richard Wright
Earl Barrett
Carl Tiler
Le Wei Feng
Mitch Ward
Scott Gemmell
Simon Davies
Claus Thomsen
Stuart Barlow
Mikael Madar
Brett Angel

Reasonably current side of premiership players:

............................Gomez
Eboue..........Bramble.........Boumsong.......Traore
Van der Meyde...Diao...Djemba-Djemba.....Dossena
...................Bothroyd....Bellion

Yes... imagine the situation, you are playing centrehalf for the opposition and are just receiving a gentle goalkick from your keeper following Dossena's latest "cross". Shielding your eyes from the glare off Jay Bothroyd's scalp (by far his most dangerous asset), you hear a strange buzzing noise. What's that? Oh, it's David "the new Thierry Henry" Bellion doing his impression of a fly trapped behind a window - zooming around very fast but not actually getting anywhere other than 15 yards offside. Be careful though as you stroll forwards, you are now approaching their midfield. Here comes Eric Djemba-Djemba, and you have a decision to make. Should I take one step to the left, or one step to the right to avoid his lunging "tackle" (strangely reminiscent of your toddler's first attempts at walking)? Once that minor distraction has been avoided, you see someone stood in the centre circle wearing a t-shirt saying "hey, at least I only cost half as much as El-Hadj Diouf!". The best option where Salif Diao is concerned, is universally accepted to be giving him the ball. Assuming you aren't on his team, obviously. Upon receiving the ball, he'll stop to survey the situation in front of him. Don't be tricked by this ruse into attempting to tackle him, which would be a careless waste of energy. Instead watch as he glances to his right, to the figure of Andy van der Meyde coughing and spluttering by the touchline. The poor lad didn't get in until 6am this morning and that jog out onto the pitch has worn him out. Diao is left with little option but to look to his left and attempt a pass to Dossena. I say attempt, because the Italian is approximately 5.2 yards away, well outside of Diao's passing range. The ball should now be back at your feet and you continue forward. It is at this point that you realise that the opposition manager has an ace up his sleeve - comedy. You need to be careful here because as you approach their back four, you can be damn sure that this centreback pairing will facing in completely the wrong direction, exposing the names on the backs of their shirts to you. Anyone who has seem them playing together at Newcastle cannot possibly keep a straight face whilst reading, never mind saying the words "Bramble and Boumsong", so look away quickly. Titus Bramble will fall over sometime in the next 5 seconds anyway, and Boumsong will be too busy trying to work out how much commission he owes Graeme Souness, so look away now before you crease up. I'd recommend looking to your left, because there stands Emmanuel Eboue. Following your vicious personal assault of looking in his general direction, he'll collapse to the ground in agony, leaving the ref little option but to brandish a yellow card to him. At this point I wouldn't recommend going for goal, as if you can wait another 10 seconds or so he'll have got himself sent off for dissent, instead jog down towards the corner flag with the ball. We are now just were we want to be, in perfect position to float a gentle cross over towards the far post. Heurelio Gomes seems to be under the illusion that he is six inches taller than he actually is, so his wild dragon punch should miss the ball completely, allowing it to sail over to Djimi Traore on the back stick. And well, I'm sure you can guess what happens next....

The Bramble-Boumsong partnership finished 7th, so wasn't that bad.

If you're looking for terrible Premier League players look no further than Sunderland. I've lost count of the amount of times they've been relegated and they've had some truly **** players along the way.

how can anyone mention an arsenal player without mentioning Jeffers I don't know, especially with so many people talking about the worst strikers. Ameobi, Jeffers are two of the least talented strikers to ever grace the premiership though theres loads of others.

Also Bramble, as much of a potential screwup merchant he's been in the past is far better this year. But he's actually a GOOD player, but has the fitness of a pub player. NEwcastle for what 2-3 years with him conceded more goals in the 2nd half than any other team in the premiership with more goals the later into a game it got, its really very simple, he's a fat tit and the longer into a game he gets the more mistakes he makes, mostly because he's tired. Its hilarious for years you can watch him seem almost brilliant in a first half making game saving challenges, then in the final 15 minutes its like his retarded twin brother is on the pitch, own goals, awful back passes, sliced clearances, fouling with every tackle. The main point is, he's actually not a bad player, just the laziest most pathetic excuse for a professional athlete there is.

Then, I'd argue that the Song family is the worst to grace the premiership, Rigobert song, really the only player that made James not look like the biggest idiot on the pitch that year.

ONe last thing, was Bogarde ever actually a flop in so much as he played crap, I mean, did he ever actually play, because you have to play to be crap right? It would be nice to know how much he got in wages for all the years he was at Chelsea doing nothing.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winston_Bogarde

lol, his book titled "this negro bows to no one" apparently he mentions the contract was worth 15million euro's. Because they won a trophy it triggered a bonus payment in his contract despite not playing a single game for them that year. 11 appearances in 4 years, Vialli was in charge but didn't buy him, got angry, Ranieri came in and wanted rid of him but he refused to go anywhere for less money.

THe only sad thing is, I can see the same thing happening with Adebayor now, whose going to match 80k a week now everyone finally realises last year was a complete fluke. thats a lotta cash to waste on crap. :(
