Linksys AM200 + WRT54GL on 02

it worked - fantastic. thank you so much.

I can also still communicate with both the modem and router which is a real bonus.

now if i can burden you further?

should i have NAT on or off on the AM200? When i switch it off on the modem i seem to lose internet access on my pc.

i want to setup port-forwarding for Bitcomet and don't seem to be able to do it succesfully. It still appears as blocked on the client.

Advanced Routing

Operating Mode
NAT: Enable

If you port forward ip addy = WRT54Gs IP addy port is the same one you use on porting forward on the WRT.

eg 192.168.1.3 (WRT54G) port 12345

Then you know how to port forward on your WRT yes. :P

Just wanted to give you a quick update. This is now working perfectly.

I had a few issues at first as the AM200 was locking up every 2 hours or so. Once i set the router as the DMZ it hasn't crashed since.

So thank you so much for all your assistance. OCUK forums done it again :)

ok peeps - see if you can help again. my setup has been rock solid since i last posted. actually loving the QOS i get....pages get served even when torrents are maxing out.

HOWEVER....i've decided to purchase a static IP address from 02. which i have done.

Only problem is, when i enter the IP details into the AM200 modem it tell's me i've got an invalid IP address.

I've failed over to my 02 box for the moment to get me back online, but i'd really appreciate your help again if possible.

Cheers

Yimpy

it's weird, the AM200 doesn't seem to like static IP addresses starting with 93 or 94.

seems there are others suffering similar problems.

apparently the AM300 firmware will work on the AM200. might give that a try if i get desperate.

the IP details are deffo correct as i've typed them into the 02 router and i'm online now

sorted now courtesy of linksys tech support. it was a long and painful process but got there in the end :)

EDIT: Clairevoyant I tried to PM you - though just realised i can't on ocuk. i'm on msn - see if you can get in touch.

any chance you could post how you resolved it? I've not had long to play with the settings so far but nothing's worked that's been suggested on this page yet :(

How can I get in touch on MSN. You have no trust setup. lol

You should be able to send me a message via trust.

Since your on O2, cant you just switch their router into bridge mode and then route through the WRT, saves you using the AM200 at all.

The config screens you need may not be in the gui however they are there just hidden (due to not being linked). Just follow the BEBox bridging guide and enjoy, successfully done this for a friend too on O2 with a ST 585 v7 and Linksys WRT54GL.

Linksys sent me the BETA that isn't supposed to exist. Part of the T&C I agreed to verbally said i would not distribute the BETA.
