well this is really taking me back to the old days of SFII on the snes.
I think I will have to invest in an arcade stick though as my thumb is takin a lot of punishment.
Plus it seems harder to pull of the special moves.
Now to hunt on line to see if I can find an arcade stick.
I really would like the hori real arcade pro ex but finding somewhere that won't charge a fortune for delivery making my search difficult.

Soz mate - my hands are mashed and I needed a break - I can just about cope with an hour at a time...Anyone want a few games?
I'll just send random invites to people on my list playing it

The thick black outer lining on the characters is quite apparent on the PS3 version, that was what I instantly noticed.

I'm torn, i think abel has some utterly brilliant moves and i seem to 'click' with em, but his complete lack of ranged attacks makes him cannon fodder for people like Ryu, Ken, Akuma and Sagat. Also he seems to be cancelled by a large number of characters which makes attacking them up close a pain too as you'll always end up on the brunt of things.
When i end up against the right people/chars hes epic, but as soon as the wrong guy comes along (sagat) i just end up losing miserably.

i never seen chun-li wear that kind of dress before/goes to see how to unlock different costumes
Anyone that's gonna sit back and enjoy the graphics in street fighter is in for a thorough thrashing tbh. Only thing that matters to me is a decent netcode and a solid framerate and both platforms deliver that flawlessly.
Also, maddness i think that chunli costume is future DLC, i could be wrong though.

I think I'm a above avarege player, I tend to win more fights online than I loose (apart form Ranked matches... some guys on there are just silly good) - for th life of me I just CAN NOT kill Seth, even on easiest!
I pulveride hom first round, then he kinda goes uber mode - I get him to a point where the announcer says "metltdown" or something like that... but I just can not finish hm off!!!
Realy frustrated with that.

The trick to seth (only on easiest mind, don't stand a chance on very easy or above) is to not bother with special moves. Just button mash and jump around loads and he goes down. Silly i know.

Jesus Streeteh is pretty handy with Abel - got his 3grab special down to a t...
I stink at Ken even though I know hes very good - his Ultra is too tight for me...

just play one round matches if you cant beat him, .. to at least unlock the characters etc..

I think that dress will be DLC only.
also i noticed one more thing
the ps3 version runs at 720p whereas the 360 one runs at full 1080p
(unless im doing something wrong, i doubt it)
i play the ps3 version more because its easier / cheaper for on-line

Im confused why the black line is such an issue - just looked at both and noticed the same and then thought - its different, but does that mean its worse?

The PS3 gfx are better imo - more details in every one of the screenshots.
Still - wont ever notice it ingame.... too busy having fun to care
I just cant beat people with Akuma - you just never get the chance at all...
Really ruining the online game for me as its just gonna be like FIFA with people using Man Utd all the time
I know he can be beat - but tbh Ill get to the point where Ill just leave the game on the shelf eventually...

Sorry to be fenickety, but the 360 upscales to 1080p from 720p using its scaler chip, that isn't the same as rendering the game at 1080p. For example any half decent television will have a scaler chip that will do just as good a job at upscaling it to 1080p as the 360 does.
Very useful for monitor users though, that's certainly true.
