Just spilled 1 litre of Castrol GTX on my carpet

Carpet now looks like this after 10 minutes of scrubbing with hot soapy water:

Left hand side is ruined:p

What else can I try?
 
Try a load of fairy liquid if you haven't already. It might help break the oil down.
 
To me it looks like you've already got it all out but have taken the colour out of the mate too. It's hard to tell from the photo but if that's true then you're going to need a new mat.
 
I did something like this in my Rx. Put a 5L bottle of Valvoline in the little back seats and some leaked down the side of the bottle. It made all the leather go saggy and now it looks like crap. Needs re trimming. Also spilt some over the carpet on a different occasion. Ended up taking the carpets out and cleaning them up. Luckily they're black. Yours looks like the color has run out, but your not gonna find a single car mat, you'll have to buy the set again. Could try some red spray paint. Sounds dodgy, but it works well.

Is it on just the mats or the carpet interior itself? If just on the mats then just replace them.
 
wow you guys are mean!!! I aint gay, honest, my mates sister said my hair looks cool and she's hotter than all of you:p

Anyway... I spent another 10 minutes scrubbing it with fairy liquid and its a bit better but I can still see where the oil was..

The carpets are a very reddy red, my camera is rubbish and makes everything look pink:(
