I've seen it, even read a guide for it but cant remmeber what its called!

Theres a way you can draw, with a PCB pen, on the base of the CPU linking pins together to up the stock voltage of the cpu (and also other function)

could somoene help me out with the name or a link please? Tried searching but as i've forgotten the name of the mod i'm not getting far :D

pencil mod :D

It's nothing to do with voltage, it just ups the default FSB.

.....

It hits a wall at 255fsb, mostly due to the insanse droop on the mobo/psu. Its currently getting below the vid of the chip hence me wanting to change the vid to 1.4 with this mod, then i know it'll get up to 300 :)

So it's a VID mod, not the BSEL mod that you're after?

I didn't realise that there was a VID mod. Be careful with it tho.

well, not entirely its not. but it will get around the mobo failing to supply the required vid for the chip.

Its almost throwaway components so if something goes wrong it'll not break the bank at all :)
