Hi all,

Not usre if anyone here can help but worth a shot.....no pun intended.

Haven't used mt CO2 rifle in around a year, put some new cartridges in to today and when i cocked the rifle the CO2 canisters were punctured as usual, but the gas wouldnt stay in the chamber!

Anyone have any idea how i can stop this happening?

TIA

when you put the cannisters in, was the bolt open or closed? it should be open.

Additionally, when you close the tube with the cannisters in, you ought to tighten the cap all the way down, then back it off untill the pressure from the capsule locks it in place.

Which CO2 rifle have you got?

crap, the bolt was closed!

yea i always gove it a 1/4 turn backwards.

unsure on the model, not an uber expensive one.

will get some more CO2 tomorrow and try again!

let me guess, it uses two CO2 cart's back-to-back and it's fairly rifle-like in shape?

look on the left-side of the upper-receiver and it should have the model name.

The seals could also be a bit dry after a year.

if he's got the Airgun i think he has, the main seal is solid brass, and thus shouldn't leak from the main chamber unless there's something really wrong with it.
