One-armed TV presenter 'scaring kids'

Wierd this should come up today. My wife pointed this out to me last night I think as the little one was settling down to the night garden. Neither of us had noticed the presenter was disabled in any way before.

Sounds more like narrow minded parents to me than something children may be scared of. I wouldn't be surprised, as my daughter got older if she asked me about it one day, but that sounds a perfect opportunity to raise awareness to me.
 
I don't see what the fuss is about really, If kids get scared then so be it. I had a friend who had her arm amputated no one really ever reacted to it (bear in mind they were not kids even though they party acted like them).

We don't live in a perfect world and kids need to know that imo.
 
They need to get rid of both Cerrie Burnell and Alex Winters as they are the dullest presenters i've ever seen. Bring back Chris he may go OTT with the make-up wearing, but he had plenty of character and was good fun to watch. Not fussed if Pui comes back or not.

thats a pretty selfish point of view. I suppose you are against the smoking ban in public closed spaces? Also there are a lot more smokers than there are people that should put gloves on their handless arms.
 
One has to wonder if these so called "offended" parents allow their kids to watch anything on TV with pirates in there.
