That's right, a boy was killed in China when his chair's gas lift arm apparently exploded sending fragments up the chair into his rear :eek:

I know cheap chairs are popular and that this kind of thing is rare but the mere thought of it happening to you is enough to make you sit on the edge of your seat, literally.

With the rigourous health and safety testing before anything comes on the market, it wouldn't happen in the UK. If it was a Chinese-made chair as the original source suggests I find it much easier to believe.

Most of our stuff is from China, it'd have to pass our health and safety testing before it's released to the general public.
