I have been struggling to pick the best frame to enter for this month's competition.
For now, I have settled on number one because the "for a laugh" pose says "lomo" to me. Technically the focus is spot on, the jaudy colours in the background are OOF at f1.8, without using the distinctly non-lomo f1.2 that I happened to have at my disposal. The humour in the shot should give some points for impact.
#1
But should I have picked a different one?
Number 2 is a mildly humorous street scene, wildly over-processed.
#2
Number 3 has bucketloads of impact and crazy half-tone over-processing. It was shot out the sunroof - in the spirit of shot-from-the-hip
#3
Number 4, a market scene. Impact? I think so. Technical? Mostly in the PP to cope with the huge contrast between dark outside and very bright inside. Lomo? I'm not sure.
#4
And number 5, just because it was a fun snap.
#5
Number 6 is very close fish-eye. Is this Lomo?
#6
Have I picked the right one?
Opinions of non-judges most welcome.
