Rainmeter
With 10-ft HUD skin
Its customisable to the extent of changing the colour/font/adjusting spaces between month/date etc and probably size.
The black text at the bottom, above the taskbar is also rainmeter just with a different skin. enigma

What have you used to get that theme and file manager?
He's using Litestep, presumably.
3 are for the currently playing video file (autoloading whenever a video contains extra content like dual audio streams, subtitles etc).
From left to right:
AC3 codec > Direct Vobsub Subtitles > Haali Media Splitter > Safely Remove USB Devices > STEAM > MSN > Speedfan temps/fan control > Xonar D2X Audio Centre > Windows Sidebar > Gmail Notifier > AVAST > DUMeter > LAN > Vista Sound Control.
They all use a few MB ram each at most and 0% CPU time.

Well it's certainly windows, I'm pretty sure it's XP as well.
