Hi all,

I really like the food from M and S but obviously I am not too keen on the prices they have.

Do you reckon they should do home delivery service like Tesco?

Would it work? I don't think it would because of their prices what you all think?

They don’t have enough food customers to warrant a service like that and the food selection is too small.

m & S are to expensive for some one like me so no.

I don't really think you can buy everything like washing powder etc from there so you will still have to shop at tescos for that

No. Tesco charge £3-6 for delivery - M&S should offer free delivery and pay for it by having operations out of town warehouses instead of from expensive high street stores.

Edit: Also, the reason M&S food is nice is because they put more salt in it :p

Ocado ( Waitrose ) are brilliant :)

Totally agreed, Ocado are top notch. I always try to order Waitrose goods from Ocado - Waitrose / John Lewis stand for very high quality at a price that is competitive. I just wish consumers looked at their bills more carefully. Tescos customers could easily upgrade if they were willing to spend £5 or so a week extra on basic goods like fruit/veg.

To answer the original question - I'd love to see M&S challenge waitrose for home delivery, but I doubt they could given their exposure in small go-home work located shops. I've noticed they've cut food prices massively in the last 3 months, so if you live near an M&S, head there now for some reasonably priced, high quality food.
