rare sea monster found in the northeast..

Looks like it was taken about 5 years ago. Most of them have been replaced with East Europeans recently.

i still dont think its Britain and if it is i am pretty disgusted, just checked and it was taken in Mexico i knew i was right

its amazing what lurks beneath, apparently only 4 of these oarfish have ever been discovered since 1891 or something, 3 of which in the north east.

I wonder if mr burns from the simpsons has a power plant up here :D
 
This is the 3rd one to be washed in the last month, one was washed up at Hauxley the other day and one at Tynemouth today.

They usually live in the North Atlantic at depths below 500 fathoms and beach themselves when they are dying. Strange to see them being washed up on our beaches.
