Man batters 21 Shetland seal cubs to death... for fun

@Tefal

I can see where you are coming, you are basically saying, in short, that Human's killing Animals regardless of purpose is inhumane. At least that's how I perceive your argument.

to me he is saying that people who would say this seal stuff is whatever ignore lots of other very similar things, mabye not exactly but in principle its the same.

what difference is it to kill any living thing for any purpose? its all the same at the end, he is just trying to as i have tried previously to point out holes in peoples emotional way of thinking.

whether it is humane or inhumane or justified to him or to me, as i see it is completely beyond the point. or mabye ive read it wrong. I.e. i dont care about seals and chickens being brutally killed, thus if i bring up the topic its to make someone else to put their own distinction, in 99% of the cases whatever the person writes they prove their point wrong, mainly because they assume i do care and i am arguing in a simple dualistic argument and therefore pick one over the other.

MY argument is basically much worse things are happening you'll forget about this by tomorrow get of your high horses.

LOL, I'm not on a high horse and you're correct by tomorrow I won't pay it a 2nd thought. I was just trying to understand your point but it seems disagreeing with you is difficult however.

Man kills animals, someone hold the front page!

Uber soldat, I bet you that if you were to walk round that beach and look at those lovely little baby seals, all cute and cuddly and everything, with their skulls caved in, you'd weep like a baby!

Uber soldat indeed :P

I presume that the guy is making some sort of protest about the fishing quotas, for which I can certainly sympathise with his situation, but killing baby seals to make a point is definitely not the way to do it.

Not you but the "batter him to death" people

consider it done

Most fishermen are complete and utter NO SWEARING that think they can haul tonnes of fish out of the sea indefinitely.

It's their fault in the first place that the seas are becoming obliterated.

Im actually going to Shetland this weekend, if I see this guy, I will put his head in a vice and watch his eyes pop out.

Hopefully someone like the ALF will step in and slit the guys throat.

GRRRR.

They wouldn't fish if the demand isn't there, from, well, me and you - surely you can see that?

Of course.

But its just pure greed from them also..

You think they stick to quotas?

Hopefully when all the fish are gone all the fishermen can sod off and die.

Oh, and no, I dont eat fish. Animals being dragged out of their environment and being left to squirm and suffocate is sickening.

and all the seals, dolphins, killer whales, and penguins too :)

Not nesesarily.. Those animals may still survive, they eat stuff we dont.

Lots of them will though,

Whats happening to the seas is utterly sickening, and most of it is all brought about by the fishermen scum. They are almost on a par with whalers.

I feel passionately about this subject can you tell ?

So many of you guys are truely ignorant of the real situation and its dramatic, utterly devastating effects on the oceans.

We need a nuclear war to lessen the global population, or start sterilising people that shouldnt have kids.

Come on now. I love fish, I have them as pets, but come on nuclear war to "lessen the global population" now you are just talking crap.

Surely more humane ways of killing/ farming the oceans creatures would be a more logical solution?

EDIT: quoting #77 although it doesn't look like it.

Anyone that doesnt think the global polulation needs reducing really doesnt have the slightest clue about ecology, geology or the natural world.

The sooner the nature and the planet kick off (more tornadoes, earthquakes, tidal waves, droughts, floods etc) the better.

I disagree, their is a difference, its the same at the end yes.... they're dead, but the reasoning behind it is the difference. But I also agree that going around shouting about it and saying things like "death to the animal slayers" is also completely pointless.

Fair enough you don't care. I also see your point here. I have to admit I'm finding hard putting it into words though. But it brings me to Tefals post of those shouting things like "Hopefully someone like the ALF will step in and slit the guys throat." These things are stupid, on the grand scheme of things battering 21 seal cubs is small fry compared to the news of today.

.

And you don;t have a clue about architecture, modern farming, hormones, steroids, antibiotics, genetic engineering and generally ****ing with nature till it does what we want it too.
