I am after a nice 20" TFT. max budget approx £120 ish. Must have DVI. Don't play many if any games on the pc. Just want a nice crisp picture with a good track record in no dead pixels. Not worried about the better panel type. TN is ok for me

I got my Dell Ultrasharp 2009W's from an Outlet store for £99+Vat, 3 year dell swap out with zero dead pixel garrantee. TN panel at this price ofcourse,

All the generic 20" tn panels would be the same tbh. Just go for the cheapest that you like the look of style wise maybe ? probably a samsung one as someone has mentioned.

Just wondering about the above Samsung. Anyone got one etc?

Also, why do they make a noise when the brightness is turned down below 70%? Seen this mentioned a few times.

The SM2053BW is a great monitor, I have one. Good colours and brightness (see here http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=12394790&postcount=35). I'm considering buying another 2 of them to run in triple setup but trying to sort out a 57Hz issue first (only important if you run 3 monitors).

The 2043BW is 5ms whereas the 2053W is 2ms response time and the SM2043W has an adjustable stand. Not sure that the difference between 2ms and 5ms is noticeable...

Actually the only thing i would say against it is its stand height being very low (i am tall), but mine is wall mounted anyway so not an issue.
