not everyone on here are skinny geeks hiding behind a monitor step into the sports section there are some fairly big blokes in the thread dedicated to weight lifters.

i would batter the guy if it was my daughter , not many people with kids would stand by and let some dirty old man take advantage of there child

Exactly. As I explained in an earlier post, the age of consent is in reality arbitary. Maturity doesn't magically occur at a certain age it differs depending on the individual. That however is useless to law making so you need a cut off point.

Hence why I am asking for those that disagree so strongly to come up with something better.
 
I'd be interested in knowing how they met before I cast any judgement on thier relationship...

I'd also be interested in knowing whether he knew his girlfriend (in any capacity) before she turned 16

Meeting in a club where she could easily be considered 18+ until he knows better, is different to going looking for barely legal girls.

That said - the girl is legal, and provided she isn't unduly influences/abused etc in the relationship, then I don't see it as being anyone elses business even if it does seem a little too close to pedeophilia for some.

Batter him for what? Would you do the same if she was 17? 20? You'd just go up to him and assault him, completely Neanderthal - words fail me :)

for trying to take advantage of my child who is still a child and not grown up enough to stand up for herself against someone of that age.

you might be willing to stand by and watch some guy who should know better manipulate and groom your daughter i would not be.

before you know it he will be up the pooper! :mad:

i suspect he is the type of person who only wants someone inexperienced so he can get them to do whatever he wants in the bedroom convincing them its normal and everyone else does it.

all sorts of emotional blackmail would be used so he could get his own way about everything in and out of the bedroom he wouldnt see her as an equal just as a sex toy
 
OT, but I love threads like this; half the folks proclaiming that the bloke should be battered and that they would batter him if it were their kid are the same folks who complain about knife culture, hoodies and chavs intimidating people and the general issues of modern Britain.

Do none of you see the irony in advocating violence as a solution and then complaining about moral decay?

Hopefully be in a position that your relationship with your child is such that you can have a long hard conversation about it all. Assaulting someone for doing something legal isn't really going to help, you will pretty much destroy the relationship with your daughter and probably end up in serious trouble with the law.

At what age would you be happy for your daughter to have sex? Do you think younger men are incapable of pressuring girls in the way you say this older man would do? What's the difference?
