I take it all back. I'm loving my PS3

Couldn't of said it better myself, worst console I've ever played, also don't forget they are unreliable and very noisy.

It's also shocking how much they charge for peripherals that other manufacturers include as standard, have they no shame?

...and what possessed them to include a power brick??

PS3 is rubbish. The graphics are terrible, the controllers are cheap and tacky, blu-ray HD is a placebo effect, you can buy all the exclusives on other consoles, and it costs nearly a thousand pounds.
Are you on crack?

The PS3 is ZOMGWTFBBQ!!!111!!! It's the most awesome peice of games console/home entertainment system ever created by man.

It's like having a supercomputer in your own home ffs!!! I don't think there will be a price drop as imo it's too cheap at a thousand pounds, if anything they should put the price up to stop riff raff like you guys from buying it :D

360 = SUX!!!!

:p

Is that in regards to a PS3? If so, then how is a PS3 unreliable?
I have a launch day PS3 and I've zero issue's with it in the 2 years (come march) I've had it, nor is it noisy. Can't say very much to it's launch day console rival. I find no fault with the PS3 graphics what so ever.

As for the price cut, I read that they may reduce the price by $50 or £50 and there is talks or speculation that they could remove the BD player in it and place in a DVDROM, which IMO would kill the PS3 as like many have already stated they use their PS3 for the occasional gaming and mostly bluray movies.

I think they were being sarcastic. ;)

Replace the Bluray drive with a DVD? Thus rendering all of the existing games released useless for those people.

Are you on crack? Or just gullible? :p Chances of this happening are about the same as the next EA game living up to it's hype. ;)

I think a great idea would be to argue the merits of different consoles again...

OP is just saying, for him, the PS3 was definitely worth getting over and normal BD player. Which i agree with
Does the PS3 output True HD from BDs etc?

It does over HDMI

That article is clearly trash. Who are these reliable sources they keep citing? You may not be on crack but they clearly are. If Sony were to release a DVD version as people have said the entire back catalogue of games would be unusable, also developers that wanted to release older games on DVD would have to completely rethink how the game runs as compression methods and 'data mirroring' would need to be done differently or not at all. Also there's other large side effects, such as how it may affect blurays reputation; one of its own creators ditching it in their product?

It's just too stupid to be true.

This.

Maybe someone mentioned it in a meeting somewhere at Sony once, they're probably working in the canteen now. That's not "talks or speculation". ;)

I can't remotely take that article seriously, because it's such a ridiculous idea.
