Probably one of the best come backs in sporting history! that and Man U's come back in the Champions league final about 10 years ago. I'm not a Man U supporter. It was just awesome! as was Diagos comeback!

Sick skills.

Don't know how you can be calm enough in a tournament match to pull off something like that. As soon as I start a ranked match I get the adrenaline shakes and promptly forget all my moves. Thought I had one of the new characters down after a bit of training, went for a ranked match and nearly got beaten by an akuma using nothing but c.HK. I only won when by trial and error my ultra came off. Doesn't bode well for the tourney :D

Anyone else crack under the pressure of ranked matches?
 
Yeah I get anxious. Don't know why, its pretty stupid really. I used to get like it when playing people who I considered better than me at CS. Which is really really stupid because your probably ultimately going to play worse because of it by bigging them up
 
I don't get anxious with this game. I just get angry instead. Far too many times I'll be in a match and I'll clearly have the advantage in a round and I'll think to myself it's in the bag now. I then seem to forget that it's not over until it's over and I quickly find myself loosing the round as I've taken my mind of the game. Cue me standing up and shouting at myself/monitor/Xbox/anything else that I feel like shouting at. lol

Usually I'm quite calm when I play games but this one just seems to bring out the worst in me. I've very rarely even thought about throwing my joypad at my monitor/tv, but I've almost actually done it quite a few times since the game has been released already. :p

I did, but then i realized that nearly all of them are easily provoked. Deliberately put yourself in a position where they think they'll get an easy dragon punch, but be ready to block it, then punish them for their ignorance.
 
I am only playing with Ken and Ryu atm and have not had the chance to try any of the other characters. Tried Blanka and guile last night, but finding their moves really quite hard to pull off with the default PS3 pad.

Think I will stick with Ryu and Ken for now (all the old moves still seem to work) and experiment properly with the other fighters once MadCatz pull there finger out and wake up to the fact that with a little more work they are sitting on a gold mine.;)

I don't necessarily use that combo, I do mix it up a bit. However if you want a really cheap fighter with some bum tactics, look no further than Sagat:rolleyes:

That should make it easy for you to win, if they are all unskilled noobs you should have no problem beating them. I have played against some ryu/ken players who I have walked over yet some are very good who I stood no chance against.

I'm on 1950 BP now, one more win should see me over 2000 :D

Well i've jumped on the SF4 bandwagon and played some lastnight (got 3 new games for ma b-day) god i can't get used to the controls :D

2000 points :D

took me forever lol

1st game i played today i lost a heartbreaking 114 points, bringing me down to 1850
then it was like 10+ games to bring me back over 2000

Capcom really have embraced all of the features on the PS3 (wish i could say the same for other developers), what with trophies, in game music, XMB invites, optional (incredibly effective) installation to the harddrive and even unlockable clothes in Home.

is there a difference out of curiosity? IE average skill level etc.
 
I had my first games online last night, in my third game i played a guy who had about 2000 points, he narrowly beat me 2-1, i had about half an inch to get him.

Afterwards he sends me a message "i hope you learned something..."

Is trash talk common in this?

lol i dont think it is but having said that someone beat me and then messaged to tell me to sell the game LOL
